That would still work especially for a single door. I started to drill a hole between those 2 and just put knob call it back plate. It is solid brass and not plated so if you like polished, i'm sure could look new.

I leave these this way for buyers who want the patina it has. The 2 holes in are somewhat confusing to me but maybe someone knows what belongs there. Anyway, this is how I found it.

I bought several boxes of hardware at an estate sale, still trying to figure out what all it came off or was used for. But, maybe someone needs it just the way is. I don't know about this piece.
